More backblogging coming up
I have not blogged at all the past few days. Here's why :
1. Attended a 2-day writing course last Thursday and Friday (company-sponsored)
2. Bought a Leadtek nVidia A7600GT graphics card for the AMD64 in the bedroom
3. Ran 3DMark03 and got a reasonable 12420 score
4. Ran 3DMark06 and found that if you want to run this one, you need to :
a. get a $800 card, not a $200 one, or
b. wait another 3 years and get whatever costs $200 then (perhaps)
5. Installed Starsiege 2845 ATR1 (after all, my name was in the manual of the original Starsiege)
6. Installed Trackmania Nations and Serious Sam 2 (these came free with the card)
7. Re-installed Half-Life 2 / Counter-Strike Source
8. Went to Sentosa with Biow's family on Sunday
9. Spent the next day recovering from the Sentosa trip
10. Balanced my books, figured out where all the money went the past 4-6 months (lol)
For the regular readers (and lurkers), there's more backblogging coming up. Yes, OPEC cut 1.2 million barrels, not 1 million, the traders are now trying to figure out whether they're only talking the talk or are they actually walking the walk. This, and more.
Markets-wise, the gases are still languishing, the oils are recovering, and the uraniums, well, they are going nuts. Somewhat weighted down by the gases, but the nuclear-powered portion of the portfolio has been doing quite well, especially in yesterday's session. Total portfolio is up by 30%. Still aiming for 100%, naturally.
