There have been some updates for 2008/2009 onward to the V-KOOL solar film specifications since my earlier Mar 2007 post. The J83 film remains the same for the front sides, while the front windscreen is now using the X75 film, and the rear sides and rear windscreen are now using the V-KOOL 70 film. The V-KOOL 70 package (upgraded from the basic Eurospec) that I took for my current Honda Civic Hybrid now consists of the following : Front windscreen : X75 (updated) Front sides : J83 (same) Rear sides and rear windscreen : V-KOOL 70 (updated) - Pretty good numbers, especially with the X75 film for the front windscreen a bump up from the earlier specs and the V-KOOL 70 for the rear windscreen on par with the earlier Mystique package specs but with much better light transmission, and more acceptable to users like myself who prefer the "all-round clear" look. Just back today after sending my car back to V-KOOL Singapore to remedy a very slight defect. I had been ignoring it but all the while Biow had been complaining about it as it was more visible from the passenger side but only at certain angles. After assessment, they replaced the entire V-KOOL solar film for my front windscreen at no charge. Excellent service, very professional. I've gone to the same V-KOOL outlet at Sin Ming for both my conventional and hybrid Civic editions, and I intend to go back to them for *ahem* future editions. I've also recommended friends and colleagues, including fellow blogger Yen Kai. Highly recommended for both their technology and professional service. PS : There have been some updates to the V-KOOL solar film specifications since my earlier Mar 2007 post. For the V-KOOL 70 upgrade package that I took, the J83 film remains the same for the front sides, while the front windscreen is now using the X75 film, and the rear sides and rear windscreen are now using the V-KOOL 70 film.
