Late for School

At late morning, I woke up and looked at the time. I realized I was late for school. I wore my uniform, grabbed my bag and dashed out of the house at the speed of lightning without having breakfast.

I ran to the bus-stop and waited anxiously for the bus to arrive.

When the bus arrived, I boarded the bus quickly. The bus was crowded and I found a seat so I sat on it quickly. I felt very anxious to go to school as I was afraid to get scolding from Mrs Lee, my form teacher.

After the bus arrived at my school, I planned to dash out but there were too many people alighting the bus. So I squeezed in between the gaps and started running to the gate. After I reached the gate, I ran and ran and soon I found myself near my classroom. My heart pounded hard and fast as every step took me nearer to my classroom. When I was in my classroom, I sneakily went to my seat. When Mrs Lee saw me doing that she glared at me in disapproval. I greeted her and apologized for being late for school. Mrs Lee forgave me. She also warned me not to be late for school again. I breathed a sigh of relief.

Road Accident

One sunny afternoon, Mr Tay was riding like a speed demon. There was a stone stuck in the middle of the road and Mr Tay rode his motorcycle towards it.

Mr Tay’s motorcycle rammed into the stuck stone and he was sent flying into the air. Mr Tan was driving his car right in front of Mr Tay and “Bang!” Mr Tan’s car crashed into Mr Tay’s motorcycle and Mr Tay himself.

Mr Tay landed heavily on the road and Mr Tan got out of his car to check whether Mr Tay was alright. A few passers-by saw this accident and called the ambulance. Mr Tay’s motorcycle was a total wreck. Shards of glass were strewn all over the road.

Not long after, the ambulance arrived and the paramedics carefully carried the victim onto a stretcher. The ambulance rushed the victim to the hospital. On the way the victim groaned in pain. When they reached their destination, the victim was dead.

What kind of jam cannot be eaten?
