Sinagpore Science P3 Experiment: Growing Bread Mould at home

Diversity.. Ken started learning Science this year.. I love Science.. I wish I could turn back time.. I will definitely be able to do my Bio better.. but I digress.. so he learned about Fungi.. example of Fungi.. what better way than experience it right?.. so, we spray some water of a slice of bread and placed in plastic bag.. then we hanged it by pegs in the kitchen.. after day3, a black spot appeared.. here's the result..

I had a dream last week about Ken coming home with his Maths Test Paper with a score of 20%.. two days later, he came home with his Maths worksheet on money.. I now know why I had the dream.. Time to practice.. *gulpz*

Biow Tutorial: Phonics Chart Made Easy

With Ken, my approach to teach him is full of system and methodologies.. ok, perhaps not proven ones.. I read here and there and adapt to *ME* being able to teach him.. somethings are like I know I can't do it.. So, I adapt to suit me.. and here is where perhaps I wasted energy.. again, I'm not a smart student/person.. many times, I find myself being where I am due to my hard work rather then being smart.. I have not really shun hard work.. So, if I could perhaps target Ken I would have save some energy.. as in target his weakness, or understand his learning approach so I can use a more efficient method.. again, like I said, I'm not good with that.. so, I just work hard with him.. As I do not know what will work, what will not..

In between, Wenn grows up being neglected on academic front.. somehow, I don't remember teaching him the phonics sound of a to z.. cos when I asked him the sound, he knows already.. I jumped into sight words lesson with him.. and that also, on off, on off thing.. he now (5+ going to 6) knows all the sight words up to to Second Grade.. he somehow is able to blend and read out words.. again, I taught Wenn sporadically.. here and there, anyhow.. without system.. And with Wenn, he will choose his own learning!.. he will bring things that he want to be taught to me and ORDER me to teach him.. very independent learner..

Me being a person who needs *ordered* checklist, who needs system of some kind find Wenn's learning disturbing.. no doubt, he knows more as compared to Ken at this age, but I just feel disturb.. nevertheless, both kids really teach me how to be a better person..

I printed this Biow Tutorial: Phonics Chart Made Easy for Wenn.. I made them for Ken last time.. So, I'm sharing with you readers.
