bake for fun to practice piping.. ahh learned something.. must ice the cake first before piping else got unsightly "holes" in between.. somehow my whipped cream not stiff enuf.. can't form the stars.. :(.. dunno if further beating will stiffen or will make it curdle? any ideas?

nothing.. extra icing, sayang to throw so thot i pipe some shells.. pucat ah? i dun hv orange color.. and very geli if too much coloring.. :P

You need to have everything very very cold when beating - i like to put the bowl and the beaters into the freezer before starting.
But whipped cream sememang not stable one...Can whip until v nice, but after a while outside (or long enuf in the fridge), it will start to sort of melt. I think cos got no stabiliser. It's just air and cream.
That's why we quite surprise that you use whipping cream for "icing" a cake.
Try fondant icing lah, you shd have the confidence by now to try mah. :)

hmm.. yup, i freeze them too! in fact in my -18C chest freezer.. my other frens teach me one abt using whipped cream.. hmm mabbe they add some secret ingredient and never tell me.. :(
fondant i find very wasteful leh.. see nice, but ppl will peel off not to eat right? i'm still hving mental barrier with fondant.. i hv all the ingredients sitting in my store room alreadie!
