naughty corner works!

WOW.. can't believe this!!.. ken was screaming his head off.. EM just whipped him up and put him facing one corner.. ken protested, kicked and more screamed.. EM placed him back to face the corner.. book said 3yo = 3min, 4yo=4min, etc.. by 2nd minute his screaming became sobs.. by 3rd minute, pitiful sobs.. ask him to come and hug us, ken ran and hugged with no screaming!.. we proceed to tell him wat behavior of his that we do not like.. and he seemed remorseful.. so we give him more hugs.. peace.. else the screaming goes on forever.. try it and tell us if it works?.. only EM can do this.. me will not hv the heart to do it.. :P

erm, i remember my mom tried putting the bro and me in the corner once for some naughty things we did (forgot what). and we had to pull our ears while standing there! but we were giggling away the whole time... heheh... guess the naughty corner won't work if u put two naughty kids there together.

Glad it works for you too.

I've seen it in action and I think the crucial part is tying the "bad" action to the punishment.

Once, Mayne was sooo overwhelming. Dh dumped her in the store room.

I guess, store room is her naughty corner.
