ahh.. this is my first attempt of Nigella's recipe -- Dense Chocolate Cupcake
okie.. i lack the deco on top.. lazy to buy M&Ms as substitute.. and i'm trying to clear my baking stuff instead of introducing more to my collections! i'm geared up to the endless bfg sessions.. so if any kind soul want my sponge cake mix, pls lemme know before i throw them out! *lelong*.. i hv some bread flour too! and 2 bars of Dark Chocolate!.. mabbe i can Yahoo! Auction them.. heh.. but i very lazy.. mabbe if i bake e'day from now til i labor, i might be able to clear them? *nay*.. too lazy!.. what i want to do is to Zzz..
i am a wee disappointed with the taste.. dunno issit b'cos my expectations are high cos "come on.. it's Nigella's recipe"!! but again, i got from a website.. dunno got typo? but anyhow, ken's feedback was "YUMMY"!.. makes me wonder, why he can say "yummy" effortlessly and can't call me "mommy"?!?!
BTW, i like to spell MOMMY as M-O-M-M-Y.. cos mummy sounds like those mummy found in pyramids?.. heh.. weirdo me!

hmmm, very upset that you didn't like the cake :(
then again, (1) i havent tried making this so i dont know if the recipe is good and (2) the recipe you got is an adapted one leh... the original is for a loaf cake, so baking temp, time etc may be different...
if you're interested in more nigella recipes, go to www.nigella.com [there's a recipe section - search for all, hers are in blue at the bottom, and there is a forum called 'your page' which has got a lot of advice etc amidst the group hugs], and http://groups.msn.com/NigellaForumMembers for the pictures.
maybe can find some inspiration for using the remains of your baking goods ;)

Aiyoh, itz a wonder u can find time to bake while I am finding time just to pergi tandas!! Well, if Ken says itz yummy, then ITZ yummy loh, mommy!!
