Life Crisis..

in Chinese, the below is the word for crisis

which means danger presents opportunity.. such is the beauty of chinese words.. it brings out meaning

On 8th Mar, my company (I) made an announcement. My department (R&D) will be closed down. Unfortunately EM and I belong to this department. We have to leave by end May. No retrenchment benefits whatsoever. It's a termination! Axed! Chopped chopped chopped! Needless to say, we are both devastated.. both out of job at the same time is no joke.. yea who asked us to work in the same company.. we thot we have some more time.. afterall, early the year, with many of my colleagues resigned, the mgmt told us, "stay and grow with the company".. lesson no.1: never trust the mgmt.. afterall we and them have different agenda -- we are making a living, they are trying to get richer!

So, this threw us into a frantic search for a job.. we contacted most of our ex-colleagues, see if they got lubang or not, etc.. in a short period i wd say, EM managed to get to attend 4 interviews.. i think not a bad start.. but still, every nite we are worried.. can't sleep well, can't eat well.. this bring memories of the time when i did badly for my STPM (equivalent to A-levels).. but this is a long story for another time, perhaps.. if we are single, we can just take our own time to look for another job.. but now, we have ken to think about.. what will the next meal be? so scary! i think we grew old in this short period of time.. *sigh*

How true is the above quote! Thru this ordeal, i came to know who are our true frens.. and also i have a group of very old classmates encouraging me.. it's so heartwarming to know that they are so far and yet all of them are so concerned over us.. Thanks!! Also have some mommies i'm closed to who listen to my worries and thus lighten my mood considerably.. Thanks! i'm so glad to know all of you.

Fortunately, this ordeal has come to a good ending so far.. today, EM managed to sign an offer letter with a new company (C) with no pay cut! Such a huge relief!! It's really a benefit to us! What have i learn? I have learn to return to my faith in Gohonzon.. life has been smooth sailing and i forgot to practice my faith.. i have let it stagnant.. now, this is like a jolt, an awakening.. i shd not neglect my faith.. so, once again, i'm back to chanting to the Gohonzon to pray and to accumulate good fortune in life and erradicate our karma..

this year is really a challenging year for me.. first with my dad's death, and then this.. but hv faith, i'm sure we can overcome our life obstacles one at a time.. as a mini-celebration, come this sat, we're going to bring ken for his first movie -- Pooh's Heffalump Movie.. Needless to say, EM is shaking his head at my spending habit.. "still want to spend money?!?".. but i think with all the climax, it's good to relief it in someway..
