labor of love..

based on the 2 upper cakes, i design a simplified one on Word doc.. and it turns out to be..

ha ha.. far cry from ken's 1st birthday cake.. but this cake is a labor of love.. oh boy am i tired.. wonder how the bakery can frost their cake so well without any crumbs showing!! *sigh*.. guess that's what u pay them for.. for professional-looking cake!.. ah well, mabbe next time, when i hv more time, i will take up cake decorating lessons.. but for now, heh.. just eat it.. ke ke.. the quote below serves an an insipration.. ;)

my advice is that if you don't like the design that you've created on your frosted cake, serve it anyway and never apologize to your family or friends; remember it's always a labor of love, no matter how it turns out !!

p.s3. the shape of the cake is so weird cos i used my corningware pot to bake.. :P.. EM being the paranoid man he is disallow me to use aluminium bakeware and non-stick bakeware.. so, i can only use glass/stainless steel.. and i can't find a square stainless steel baking tin!! ah well, good thing my corningware can use to bake.
