is this "the" major appliance.. ??

IF YOUR NURSE FOR A YEAR, you will have saved enough money to buy a major appliance!

i posted to ask what major appliance shd i get some time back.. i still hv not decided.. BUT, BUT, BUT.. today, i'm going to get myself a Ice-cream Maker.. i dunno what's the model.. but it will be Kenwood's ice cream maker.. YUM.. thinking of it is enuf to form a pool of saliva on my keyboard right now.. *droolssssssss*.. but it's like too "cheap" to be a "MAJOR" appliance.. ke ke.. what kind of motivation is this to stay pumping!?!.. heh.. i figure, mabbe i get few appliances to form one "MAJOR" appliance!

the icecream maker will be ard S$66=3 can of FM.. i hv saved 52cans (supposedly a bb consume 1 can of FM per week).. okie, minus $300 for the pump and mabbe another $150 for bottles, milk bags, valves ($450=22 can).. so, i hv saved 52-22= 30 can.. i can still afford for other appliance to add up to be 27cans (27x$20=$540)!.. ke ke

actually i wanted a new oven.. BUT at the end, i know, it's not the oven but the "baker".. so, will be shelving my oven plan until my this oven really died on me.. then i will get a "bigger" oven, hopefully..

meantime, anyone got icecream recipe, share with me, ok?.. sorry to disappoint but u readers will not see any ice cream today, nor tomorrow.. cos, i will only get the maker tonight.. and i will need to freeze the bowl for 24 hrs before i can start churning my own ice cream!! what a torture to wait.. *sigh*

actually ha....we've made ice cream without an ice cream maker before. Just use electric mixer to "churn". A bit tedious (freeze in tupperware, take out, beat, freeze, take out, beat, freeze, takeout, beat).

But jadi also. Maybe not as smooth as if use a real appliance. But good enough.

Even Nigella says no need real ice cream maker.

So...use the money for something else.

actually i made before too without using ice cream maker.. din't even like freze-take-out-beat repeat.. i just did one time.. also jadi.. but this also to impress little frens at home.. :)
