homemade binoculars..

Dear parents,
The school has invited the Mickey Mouse Storytelling club to conduct a session with our children on 15/08/07, Wednesday, during school hours. During the session, each child needs to have a hand-made 'binoculars' for interaction. We need your cooperation to make one with your child at home and bring it to school by 13/08/07, Monday. Thank-you.

we did these some time back.. the sunflowers and flowers.. ken help me paste.. he's so much better in pasting with scotch tape and glue.. now need to work on his cutting skills..

Also, Ken did these.. what's so special was he use the same bricks to make the robot and then later transform to "vehicle" without adding any extra lego piece or removing any extra lego pieces..

i sewed this for ken to hang on his school bag's zip.. actually, i love sewing.. many a nights, when i'm younger, i will hang around in the room where my mom's sewing on her machine.. i find the whirling sound of her manual sewing machine very therapeutic.. why i need to hang around there?.. cos my mom needed me to help her thread her needle ever so often.. sometimes thread broken.. sometimes she needed to hand stitch.. rather than moving to and fro from the 2nd living room.. normally i will just be in her room.. will be scribling, drawing, day dreaming, playing with my doll (only owned ONE doll), playing with paper dolls, talking to myself etc.. the talking to myself always drove my parents mad.. i had imaginative frens for ever so long.. my parents thought i was losing a screw.. :P.. think the only regretful things is not learning to sew proper from my mom.. other traits of my mom ie cooking, baking cookies & love letters, traditional kuih, etc.. i dun fancy at all.. heh.. and my mom eyesight is not allowing her to do much sewing now.. probably when i ever have the time, i will want to learn sewing..
