do u listen to the radio?

the only time i listen to radio is while i'm driving.. not b'cos i like but b'cos i hv paid for the stupid radio license fees!.. they dun even bother to check if ur car comes with the radio.. at every road tax, u just hv to pay some amt for radio license.. grrr..

But, thank goodness for station like Gold90.5FM - Classic Hits All Day!, i get to hear songs i'm familiar with while growing up.. i seriously think i hv a "not normal" childhood.. those songs i hear are not played by me, by rather my elder bro (bro#1) and elder sis(sis#1).. these 2 were from chinese school but they listen to "ang mo" songs.. they are the ones who pestered my dad to buy a hi-fi then.. and their collection of cassettes.. wow.. all ang-mo ones.. 1 drawerful (it's a big drawer)!.. they are such typical teenagers.. they go partying, dancing.. etc.. not me..

i do like to go out and talk, but compare to them, my social life almost non-existence.. what i like best is quiet time to myself.. so, that i can do my reading or my ___ (whatever) in peace.. i pretty much like to be left alone.. i used to love to write long and lengthy letters to my frens.. i love to day dream also..

perhaps, growing up, i see my mom waiting up for my elder bro/sis to come home at wee am.. so, mabbe i dun want my mom to worry so much abt me? or mabbe i'm just born to be the "shadow" in my family? i'm the quietest in my family.. how not to when my older sibblings monopolize most of the conversations?.. they hv so much things to say.. hee..

and, i dun hv patience for classicals.. Mozart seems to be good for bb in my tummy.. but i listen once while preggie with ken.. i can't stomach it.. too noisy for me!.. guess i'm not born to be musical incline or to love music? sad rite? so, un-culture, me.. haiz

but, as usual, i love to hv explainations to things happening to me.. i think my hearing hv problem.. i'm tone deaf and also rather deaf.. serious! while my eye sight is good, i think i may need hearing aid in future! (life is fair.. can't have the best of everything!).. thus, a nice piece of music is actually very noisy to me.. i hv to strain my ears to listen/to appreciate.. so there now.. i hv a reason to comfort myself in what i'm lacking.. hee.. hee.. always one to find excuses.. ;)
