The grand legacy of your iconic 10th granduncle, Sim Mow Yu, is a very enduring one.
It is true that he has seen many ups and downs in his struggle for Chinese education in Malaya and then Malaysia.
Throughout it all, he has held the line, even paying the price of being incarcerated at 76, an age when most people would have gladly called it a day.
For Sim Mow Yu, he has taken the road less travelled by and he knew he had many promises to keep and many miles to go before he slept.
Rest in peace, my noble friend. We met, but like ships in the night.
