is diamond your best friend?

yesterday, my colleagues and I were talking.. As my colleagues are all single with girlfriend or boyfriend, they started talking about proposal/engagement ring.. girl colleague C told guy colleague P that he shd not bother with diamond quality.. just make sure get a big size one for his girlfriend will do..

when my eldest sister got married, her DH (dear hubby) has no money to buy her one.. but on her dunno which wedding anniversary, her DH bought her one.. she of cos looked forward to it then.. she is the fashion fashion type of woman.. :P

come to think of it.. lucky EM!!.. cos i'm not into diamond.. :P.. better to give me the hard cold cash.. ke ke.. does it matter if you receive a diamond or not? or am i the only weirdo out there? or am i the only "khe lian" girl not receiving a diamond ring??

how about you? would you want to have a big diamond on your finger? is diamond a must have for you? my mom is also waiting for a diamond.. or rather diamonds.. she wanted a pendant with diamonds on it.. nope, i'm not buying her cos i think it's such a waste of good money.. but like so bad to "deprive" her?? anyway, still convincing her it's a waste of money.. :P
