BWR cards.. all done..

i am prepared to go into labor now.. all things done.. so, now is waiting game *shucks*.. am 36w+1d today..

these are the cards that i have done.. now, dun tell me #2 is always deprived of new things.. these are new!.. i didn't do any for ken last time.. or rather i only printed one Nursery ryhme.. since ken is born in the year of sheep, i printed "Baa Baa Black Sheep" (actually is Year of Goat!.. goat is not sheep.. what was i thinking then?!?).. and besides those words there's one sheep jumping over the fence.. that's the only Black/White stimulation ken had.. heh.. btw, i changed the last line to.. "And one for the little boy whom Ken is his name".. BTW, do u think ken will grow up self-centered? all nursery rhymes song which hv name are being replaced with "Ken"..
e.g.
"Are u sleeping, are u sleeping, brother Ken, brother Ken.." or
"Ken-boy had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb.."

Wonder when later he goes to school, he will think teacher teach wrongly?!.. How come it is no longer his name being sung? heh..

THANKS.. and *muack muack*..

Add on:

Researchers have discovered that infants not only prefer to look at high contrast graphics, but that such images can help:

  • increase concentration skills
  • stimulate the creation of synapses (brain cell connections)
  • increase an infant's attention span
  • calm a baby (when she is bored)
  • enhance curiosity

Recent advances in brain-imaging techniques have proven what researchers have said for over twenty years: an infant's environment has a dramatic affect on brain development.

In the first years of your baby's life, the brain is busy building its wiring system. Activity in the brain creates tiny electrical connections called synapses. The amount of stimulation your baby receives has a direct affect on how many synapses are formed. Repetitive stimulation strengthens these connections and makes them permanent , whereas young connections that don't get used eventually die out.

These first years are a very important and pivotal time for a developing young brain. This intense period of brain growth and network building happens only once in a lifetime. We as parents have a brief but golden opportunity to help our babies stimulate the formation of brain circuitry.

When u read the last line, don't it make one feel guilty if one do not do something abt it.. geez.. i shdn't be reading and making myself feeling guilty.. ha ha.
