When i looked back at the kids' pictures, i really cringed at their hair! At that time, I thought I did a good job.. but now when i see some of the pics.. *AWFUL*.. haiz.. ok, next time, they will get professional cut..

pet tortoise.. introducing..

jojo and gigi.. keke.. i suck at giving names..

down memory lane, this reminded me.. my very first "pet" was tortoise! my dad bought my 2nd sis and me a tortoise like this for each of us.. (but i'm very sure the kiam ka na dad we had will surely not pay S$9 for these two!!).. my 2nd sis and i then decided to name them yoyo and toto.. needless to say, me the squeamish, has nothing to do with them other them looking at them from far.. my 2nd sis did all the change water, feeding, playing with them.. so, while at market yestterday i saw tortoises for sale.. so, bought 2 for ken and wenn to "relive" my history childhood..

i can only recall how wonderful my dad was.. he bought us birds, rabbits, tortoises, fishes, chicks for my sibblings.. and he even made kennel for the dogs, some litter boxes(?) for the rabbits etc during various stages of our lives when we (minus me, i never like any animals) were loving different animal phases.. i can only envy those indulgences my dad showered on my first 3 older sibblings, esp my 2 brothers on this pet aspect.. so, my older bro still love dogs.. my 2nd bro still love fishes.. and the girls unfortunately do not like any animals.. heh.. probably we got my mom's genes.. let's hope my ken and wenn will look back and remember me fondly like i did for my dad..

P.S... lynn, if u'r reading this, YM me some tips on caring of jojo and gigi.. EM give me 1 week before these 2 die.. *yikes*.. hope not!

squint eyes..

Have I mentioned that I brought ken to check his eyes in polyclinic and the nurse "failed" his eye test.. the first test was 6/9 and 6/12.. 4mths later his sight was 6/9 and 6/18!!.. it was due to his 1st test that we bought the lcd tv as well as a 3M polariser table lamp.. in the hope that his sight will not deteriorate.. but the results were not good.. Hence, we were referred to KKH eye center.. that was last mth.. and the optometrist said he has 6/6 eye sight on both eyes.. so, we thought can be relieved right?.. no.. the optometrist then said that he left eye seems to have squint.. in lay man terms i think it is crossed eye.. anyway, so, tomorrow we will go for another checkup to confirm if he has a squint.. after last mth checkup, i tell u.. i looked back at all ken's old photo and i see his eyes crossed.. not sure if it's subconscious or something!.. sigh.. let's hope tomorrow's checkup will shed some light.. ohh and squint is genetic.. so it's not due to bad habit or something.. cos obviously first thing a mommy always does is to blame herself.. it must be i have let him watch too much tv.. etc.. anyway, it's genetic.. so it's less guilty i guess.. cos i obviously can't control defect on my genes or EM's genes right?.. here are his recent photos.. macam squint eye?

just a photo i photoshopped.. added thomas.. blur the backgnd so that it's like swallow DOP (depth of field).. but a bit lame.. keke..

2 more photos.. taken before christmas when my eldest SIL came over with her daughters.. the last photo i photoshopped too.. we took a few times.. and this was the best for everyone except for my mom, so i cut her face from the nicer photo and pasted.. :P..
